Tualatin Valley Golf & Wine Tour

Golf in Tualatin Valley can be an unparalleled experience, especially when coupled with exquisite wine. Explore our greens and our grapes with this two-day tour in Tualatin Valley.

DAY ONE

Tee off the morning playing 18 holes at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. Situated on pristine farmland, only 20 miles west of Portland, are Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club’s two championship golf courses. Both were etched into the landscape by renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp. Lush towering trees frame undulating fairways and manicured greens, creating a stunning tapestry for respite, relaxation, and adventure. Both golf courses lend themselves to walking, allowing players to enjoy the golf courses the way they were meant to be played.

After golf and just a quick two-mile drive, visit Abbey Creek Winery, or the “OG Crick,” as owner and winemaker Bertony Faustin calls his original tasting room. Faustin, the first Black winemaker in Oregon, has been called a change maker, and his wines, which include Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Malbec and more, are must-try wines in the Willamette Valley. (Open by reservation only, Saturday and Sunday)

Next, enjoy a meal—and a glass of wine, cider or beer on tap–at ABV Public House. Tucked away in an unassuming industrial area, ABV Public House was named Tualatin Valley’s favorite restaurant in 2015. This independently-owned taphouse and beer-centric restaurant has a diverse menu of crowd-pleasing dishes, as well as 34 draft taps and 600 bottles.

DAY TWO

After breakfast on your own, start the day with 18 holes at the acclaimed course, The Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club. Tucked away among lush green rolling farmland on the fringe of the Willamette Valley’s acclaimed wine country, The Reserve is a golfer’s serene refuge from the dull roar of the city – and yet it’s just a 20-minute drive west of downtown Portland. The Reserve has been the proud host to some of golf’s most prestigious events, and more than 50 major championship winners have walked its fairways. Several golf publications, including GOLF Magazine, have all honored The Reserve in their annual “Best of” issues. After 18 holes, enjoy a meal at the Reserve’s Vintage Room.

After lunch, enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting at Ardíri Winery and Vineyards, located in the heart of the beautiful Chehalem Mountains AVA of the Willamette Valley. Árdíri specializes in Willamette Valley and Napa Valley Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris—the only winery in the region that owns vineyards in both regions. Relax in the indoor/outdoor tasting room by the fireplace or outdoors by the fire pit. This is a “destination” winery where guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy a glass of wine.

In the evening, grab a bite a drink and play at Topgolf’s state-of-the-art driving range. Test your swing with Topgolf’s point-scoring golf game that is both fun and challenging. Open until 11 p.m. (until midnight on Friday and Saturday), this is the perfect way to cap off a satisfying two days in Tualatin Valley.
